Create a Leave by reminder

1. Open Set and choose Leave by.
2. Choose the date and time you need to be out.
3. Review Repeat reminders. Every 2 minutes is included. Pro adds every minute or every 5 minutes.
4. Check Starting from. The manual reminder saves your current location when you set it.
5. Tap Set reminder and complete any permission prompts. Today opens the reminder detail.

Wait for a fresh, precise location if LessLate cannot capture your starting point. Move somewhere with a clearer location signal and try again. A new manual reminder cannot start while another journey is running.

Use Arrive by with Pro

In Set, choose Arrive by (Pro). Select a destination, arrival date and time, travel mode and time to get ready. Review the calculated leave time before setting the reminder.

Smart Leave subtracts the estimated journey duration from your arrival time. Preparation time schedules an earlier getting ready notification. It does not move the walk out alarm earlier.

Driving, public transport, walking and cycling depend on available Apple Maps estimates. If a route is unavailable, choose another mode or set a manual Leave by reminder. Estimates need an internet connection and can change.

Saved trips stores regular Arrive by plans. Applying a saved trip still requires you to review and set a reminder. It does not create an automatic weekly alarm.

Understand Today

Today brings together journeys in progress, scheduled reminders and routine alarms in the next 24 hours, and outcomes from earlier today. Tap an entry to open its detail or routine.

Opening Today, Set or Routines does not arm a new alarm. The app opens on Set when launched fresh.

Create an automatic weekly routine

1. Open Routines and tap New routine.
2. Choose a name, departure time and repeat days.
3. Save a starting place with Use My Current Location while you are at the place you want to leave.
4. Save the routine and check that it appears under Next alarms.

The starting place stays the same for that routine. Its alarm repeats at the saved time on the days you choose. After you stop it, departure checks and follow ups every 5 minutes can begin.

A routine can ring without a saved starting place, but departure cannot be checked and that occurrence does not get location based follow ups. Check the starting place and permissions when this happens.

Free includes one automatic routine. Pro lets you create more. If Pro ends, all existing automatic routines remain available to view, edit, pause, resume and delete.

Use Routine enabled to pause or resume one. Pausing or deleting a routine does not end a journey already in progress. Open that journey in Today to end it for today.

Check your permissions

Alarms

Allow LessLate to schedule alarms when prompted. If access is off, use the app’s permission guidance to open Settings and allow it. Check that the reminder shows as set.

Notifications

Allow notifications for preparation and checkpoint prompts. Notification permission is separate from alarm permission. Prompts whose scheduled times have already passed will not be sent.

Location

For background departure checks, open iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → LessLate. Select Always and turn on Precise Location. Follow the app’s guidance if iOS first offers only access while using the app.

Keep Location Services on. Weak location accuracy, disabled permissions and system conditions can delay or prevent confirmation. A screen capture or countdown cannot prove that an alarm will ring on your device.

Alarms, follow ups and leaving

Stopping an alarm starts the departure check. It does not mark the journey complete. LessLate confirms departure after two consecutive readings more than 50 metres from the saved starting point, each with location accuracy within 25 metres.

Manual reminders normally follow up every 2 minutes. Pro lets you choose every minute or every 5 minutes. Automatic weekly routines use every 5 minutes. Older saved reminders can retain their original interval.

If you have left but the app is still checking, confirm Always and Precise Location access and give it time to receive accurate readings. Avoid opening another reminder to force a result.

If plans change, use the active journey’s End without leaving or available end for today control. That ends the journey without recording a successful departure. A future weekly routine remains scheduled.

Momentum Run

A confirmed departure within 5 minutes after the planned leave time can count towards your Momentum Run. This allowance does not delay the alarm or extend your journey time.

Live Activities and the Lock Screen

Eligible reminders can show progress on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island on supported iPhone models. Check that Live Activities are enabled for LessLate in iPhone Settings.

LessLate’s countdown Live Activity is eligible within 4 hours of a reminder. For a reminder further away, open LessLate again within that window. Starting a Live Activity later in the background is not guaranteed.

The Live Activity and the scheduled alarm are separate. A missing countdown does not, by itself, mean the alarm is missing. Use Hide destination on Lock Screen in the reminder controls if you do not want the destination name shown there.

Purchases and restoration

Open the Pro control in Set to see the available plans or your subscription details. Use Restore Purchases if you already have an active subscription. Make sure the App Store is signed in to the Apple Account used for the purchase, and check your internet connection.

A pending purchase needs Apple’s approval before Pro unlocks. “Nothing to restore” means the store did not return an active subscription for that account. A temporary connection problem does not stop free reminders from working.

Manage or cancel through iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → LessLate. See the subscription terms for billing and cancellation.

Change your analytics preference

Open Set → More → Privacy and Analytics. The More control is the circle with three dots. Change Share anonymous usage analytics.

The setting is off by default. Turning it off stops future analytics and clears the unsent SDK queue. It does not delete events already received by Mixpanel. No location data is sent to Mixpanel. Read the analytics details.
